Makers Circle is the perfect place for a writers retreat. The landscape is inspiring, while nearby trails and sanctuaries provide the perfect place for clearing the mind or stirring the heart. 

Each resident is given an adjustable height work table in the interior group studio, if working around others suits you. If writing in private is more your style, we have special rooms equipped with ergonomic desks as well as a small writing desk in your private room. 

Western North Carolina has a growing literary scene with access to public readings, poetry open mics, amazing libraries at UNC Asheville as well as a couple of thriving and inspiring independent books stores that host amazing writers and poets.
